Happy seems an understated word to describe Easter. It should be Ecstatic or Glorious... How often do we glaze over the significance of the event we celebrate on Easter each year? A guy rose from the dead. If I saw that with my own eyes I'd be freaking out. So each Easter I especially focus on freaking out that Jesus paid for my sins in full. He did something (many things actually) that I could never do for myself. I'm perfectly okay with that because it means I don't have to be perfect and I don't have to strive to be either. I'm taken care of and paid for. Simply for believing and declaring that Jesus is the Son of God. Here's a picture of me declaring that in front of a crowd of 9,000 or so this morning. I'm in there in the sea of gold robes but you'd never find me. This morning was nothing short of glorious as I celebrated the resurrection. If you're looking for a church I'd highly recommend this one. http://www.realitysb.com/ It has been a large part of the way Jesus has changed my life.
"I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly"- Jesus in John 10:10
Part of a more abundant life involves reading scripture. Don't read it cause you feel obligated to do so. Don't read it to get kudo points with God. I want to know God... so I read it to discover who He is. It's like a good mystery book except the main character is real and... oh yeah you're in the book too.
